Newborns will by FAR be my favorite subjects to photograph.

Yes, all children are adorable. Your families beautiful. But there is an art to photographing a newborn well. They are temperamental little beings, who are mad at you if they are wet, cold, hungry, tired… you name it. And I encounter all of these and more during newborn sessions. Yet there is something soooooo satisfying about completely nailing a newborn session. Parents are always amazed at the images you’ve created and, to be completely transparent, I too am often times surprised at the images I create as well! Many times the most difficult little ones have produced some of my absolute favorite images. Maybe it’s because I KNOW what it took to get those poses (and since the parents are there, they know too 🙂 ). But one thing is for certain, if I HAD to pick 1 genre of photography to focus on, it would definitely be newborns (and 3 month, 6 month, 9 month, and 1 year sessions…..so glad I don’t have to pick only 1!).
